i made this page to post anything related to my very broad car-related interests. i also will probably tend to post a lot of screenshots from this strange hobby i have where i look for interesting cars in google street view. i know that's probably unorthodox or strange, but it's fun to me and it makes me feel less lonely.
we'll begin with my car.
it's a 2006 (2nd gen, post-facelift) honda cr-v with a K24A1 under the hood making a tolerable 156 hp. it's not flashy, sporty (sometimes it feels the part though), fast, or prestigious, but it gets the job done, and unlike your rich uncle's cybertruck, it'll outlive you, your kids, your grandkids, and your grandkids' kids. obviously with that being said, it's got its fair share of issues that need fixing, like a potentially faulty serpentine belt, some cosmetic blemishes, and SAE P0325 lighting up my dash (it's probably just an electrical malfunction, there's like a 50/50 chance there is an actual knock, but it's definitely not bottom-end.). and before you flock to my youtube comments, yes, i'm well aware, i need to wash it.
Found a relatively pristine NA miata in my hometown. I can't say i've ever had the blessing of seeing one of these IRL. I honestly think that the brown soft tops look a lot better on miatas than the black ones or any color of hardtop.
melanie's automotive astrology #2 - found in kurashiki, okayama. a hiace super gl with a spoiler and some insane tips for a cargo van. why can't we have these kinds of vans in america? why are all of our GMT610s and econolines rusted to shit and boring?
melanie's automotive astrology #1 - found in buttfuck illinois, a heavily modded GMT400 that's just barely an inch off of the ground. my crystal ball of rusted sheet metal tells me that the white explorer is (hopefully) an undercover cop arresting the owner of this truck for crimes against GM.
found in pueblo west, colorado: a ~1999 subaru imprezea sport hatch with all the cool intakes and a beautiful two-tone. if the subframe is rotting out, i sure as hell can't see it.
